Prison Island – Quarantine and Giant Turtles;
Prison Island, originally built as a prison in 1893, later served as a quarantine hospital. Today, it is home to giant tortoises that were relocated from Stone Town. Enjoy a 30-minute boat ride with stunning views of the Stone Town skyline. Upon arrival, your guide will share the island's history and introduce you to the Aldabra giant tortoises, where you'll have the chance to see, touch, feed, and take pictures with them.
Nakupenda - The Sandbank Picnic;
Nakupenda Beach is the perfect spot for snorkeling and sunbathing on one of Zanzibar’s most pristine beaches. You’ll sail to the sandbank surrounding the magnificent island of Zanzibar, where you can swim, snorkel, and enjoy a delicious BBQ seafood lunch. "Nakupenda" means "I LOVE YOU" in Swahili, and it perfectly captures the beauty of this astounding sandbank, where white sands appear and disappear with the tides. Indulge in seasonal fruits, relax on the sandbank, or explore the vibrant marine life before returning to Stone Town by motorboat.
Special Information;
Please refrain from purchasing large shells or coral from local vendors, as this promotes the destruction of our fragile marine ecosystem.
This is a boat tour, so wear shoes that are easy to slip on and off, and that can withstand water.
Don’t forget to pack sunscreen and a hat for your trip to Prison Island and Nakupenda
