Butterfly Center;
Welcome to the Zanzibar Butterfly Centre, one of the largest butterfly enclosures in East Africa. Stroll among hundreds of free-flying butterflies in a lush tropical garden. This interactive environment offers a delightful experience for both adults and children. Participate in the feeding ritual and let butterflies land on your hand. The tour lasts about 30 to 40 minutes, allowing you to inspect tiny butterfly eggs, touch and hold hungry caterpillars, and observe the various life cycle stages, from curious cocoons to beautiful butterflies. The Zanzibar Butterfly Centre focuses on education, conservation, and butterfly farming, with revenue generated supporting the local community.
Jozani Forest;
After a short 3-minute drive, arrive at Jozani National Park. During a guided journey through the forest, learn about the unique monkey species found in Zanzibar (yes, they lack a thumb!). After the forest tour, hop over to explore the magical Zanzibari mangroves. Walk along the wooden trail to see thousands of crabs at work beneath the mangroves, and if you’re lucky, you might even hear the mangroves “talking.” Experience this enchanting ecosystem for yourself!
Stone Town;
Feel the history in the walls of Stone Town. Upon arrival, your guide will introduce you to notable buildings and famous viewpoints. Stone Town's architecture is steeped in history, reflecting the stories of Sultans, Arabs, Europeans, and Zanzibaris. Visit the Anglican Cathedral and Slave Markets, the Palace of the Sultans, Tip Tip’s House, the Old Arabic Fort, and Forodhani Park. Don’t miss the iconic Zanzibar doors in the narrow streets, and enjoy the vibrant sights of henna art and the local fruit and vegetable market. Prepare for an immersive walk through the rich history of Zanzibar and its numerous rulers;
- Anglican Cathedral and Slave Markets
- Freddy Mercury
- Palace of the Sultans
- Tip Tip’s House
- Old Arabic Fort
- Forodhani Park
- The iconic Zanzibar Doors
